Where to eat


For those looking for a place to eat breakfast or a late supper, there are several options in close proximity to the conference venue:

  1. There are several student cafeterias (with relatively low prices) located on the University premises:
  • inside the building where the conference is being held there is 'Restauracja u Józefa', offering soups, sandwiches, salads, hot lunches, cakes and desserts.
  • two cafeterias are located in the Law Department (Wydział Prawa i Administracji) just outside the conference venue.

'Le Grande Buffet' is located on the ground floor and offers a selection of sandwiches, fast food (including pizzas), pancakes, salads, soups and dinner dishes.

'Maxim' is located on the first floor and offers good coffee and a selection of sandwiches and salads as well as lunch options including pancakes.

  • there is a buffet located on the first floor of the library. The selection of food is smaller but you can combine an early breakfast with a visit to the library.


Opening times in September for the cafeterias on the university premises are not yet available but will be posted later.


  1. Close to the Library building is ‘Manekin’ restaurant. It offers a wide range of pancakes as well as soups and salads.

Opening times: 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. (on Fridays and Saturdays it is open till 11 p.m.)


  1. Within a short walking distance of the conference venue there is another restaurant, ‘4 strony świata’. It provides a variety of traditional food, Polish as well as from other parts of the world.

Restaurant’s menu:

Opening times: 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. (Monday to Friday); 10 a.m. – 11 p.m. (Saturday – Sunday)


  1. Close to the conference venue there is also McDonald’s (with McCAFE and 24h McDrive)
